Alert and Informational Email Messages will be sent out by the Local SKYWARN Coordinators via this Group to communicate upcoming events of general interest to the SKYWARN Community, as well as selected Official NWS Products and Bulletins related to impending, potentially Severe Weather in the NNJ area.
IMPORTANT Note, this service is not to be considered as or used as an Emergency Alerting or Warning System. Please note, there are several other Email Lists and Groups you can Subscribe To operated in conjunction with the NWS's Upton NY SKYWARN Program. A properly programmed and always on-standby NOAA All Hazards Radio is a more reliable way of receiving important and timely information relating to Severe Weather in your area.
