Please Note:  Starting in 2002 all NWS Upton NY CWA SKYWARNTM Spotters must be retrained at least once every 3 years in order to be considered Active NWS SKYWARNTM Spotters. This is particularly important so that everyone will be up-to-date on the latest Spotter information. You can attend either a Basic or Advanced Level Class to retain your active status.

SKYWARNTM Spotter Training Classes are not limited just to residents of the Counties in which they are held . All NWS SKYWARNTM Spotter Training Classes (see Note below regarding a pre-requisite regarding Advanced SKYWARNTM Spotter Training Classes) are free of charge and normally open to all who wish to attend (refer to the applicable Attendance Requirements associated with individual Classes).

To attend an Advanced SKYWARNTM Spotter Class you must be a current and up-to-date Trained Spotter...i.e. you have attended a SKYWARNTM Spotter Training Class within the last 3 years.
