Awarded The Prestigious SkywarnActive Award By The NWS

May 12 2004

On Wednesday evening, May 12 2004, the National Weather Service Upton NY presented Michael Adams (pictured below on the left), the Director of Emergency Management for the Borough of Ramsey, Bergen County NJ with the NWS's SkywarnActive Award. 

The presentation was made by Scott Reynolds (pictured above on the right), SKYWARN Program Leader and a Lead Forecaster with the NWS Upton NY during the 2004 Bergen County NJ Advanced SKYWARN Spotter Training Class.

 The SkywarnPrepared Recognition Program is designed to:

• Promote the importance of the SKYWARN Program at NWS Upton NY;
• Recognize those organizations that have been and will continue to be an active and integral part of the NWS Upton SKYWARN program;
• Generate additional interest in the NWS Upton SKYWARN Program, particularly among those in the Amateur Radio community.
